Starting A New Medication For Life in 2026
I found out in 2026 that I have Barrett’s Oesophagus and that I need to take a new morning medication for life. There is a lot of acid in my oesophagus and the medication helps with fluid reduction and there’s a small chance I might get oesophagus cancer in the future.
How did I deal with these new health news mentally?
Very fuckin well.
If the Suzanne ten years ago heard about these new health news, she would have ended up in the mental health ward.
But not today.
Not this year.
2026 Suzanne is strong and tell herself that she’s worthy and that she is strong.
Sure, a new medication for life did make me feel a little nervous, but I am not fully shaken.
I am glad I am taking the right steps to help with my health.
As health is important and valuable.
Without health, I can’t do anything.
So I will take these medications for the rest of my life and I will comply.
