Inspiring Minds Movement Presents United Women

Yesterday at United Women I was joined by twenty or so women passionate about self-development, empowerment, doing self-love and self-care and basically wanting the best out of their lives. It was my first time attending an Inspiring Minds Movement and I have never seen so many women break down into tears at an event such like this. It’s not a bad thing too - the women attended this event at The Drapery felt safe to share their personal stories to one another - to strangers.

Extra! Rocket Girl Modelling Launch and Fundraising Party

To say tonight's event was amazing IS an understatement. I really enjoyed this event, and especially the charity component of it. I love to support Brisbane local designers and it was good to see some of the same designers that grace the runway again. I also saw some new designers that I haven't seen before, and here are my top two favourite outfits from each designer:

AICD presents Off The Grid Fashion Show '19

I really like how tonight's event was more than just celebrating the success of the AICD's Diploma of Fashion Styling and Media Class of 2019, and mentioning about the importance of mental health in the fashion industry. That this topic is still a taboo, and need to be spoken more about it to reduce the stigma. It was a lovely event overall, and I enjoyed the designs. Below are my favourite designs from each designer:

Melbourne Cup | Altitude Bar & Foresters Restaurant & Bar feat. Designer Q

Today I went to Melbourne Cup at the stunning Altitude Bar & Foresters Restaurant & Bar. It was an amazing rooftop event with scrumptious gourmet canapes, a graze board and even a fashion show to entertain the guests. The team at Designer Q and Brokat Studio help put this fantastic event together. The designers today included: Black Jacket Suiting, Niki Teljega, Tigerlash, Fashion Paradisso, Red Cypress Clothing, Yellow Thread The Label, and MOJALIVIN. A mixture of clothing from ready to wear, menswear, to beautiful couture. Below are my favourite piece from each designer:

BFM Business Workshop 2019

I was so impressed by last year's BFM (Brisbane Fashion Month) Business Workshop, that I thought I had to come back again to it this year. The lineup of speakers yesterday was amazing. All the talks were informative and I enjoyed listening to each speaker. There was an interval at 10am for morning tea, and boy, what a spectacular graze board it was! After the talks finished, people were given the chance to do a TWO MINUTE pitch on their business. And did I mention how awesome the goodie bag was as well?? I had a great time at this event - the best part is always to network with others.

Pacific Fashion Festival 2019

What a fun-filled event celebrating culture, fashion and entertainment at Brisbane Convention Centre for the Pacific Fashion Festival which was on today. The event kickstarted with musician - Mark Lowndes, playing and singing songs to hype up the audience. Then around 1.45pm or so there were live performances by different dance groups such as Heilani, Matana and Mamana. It was very entertaining, and I love the costumes the female and male dancers wore.

Brisbane Fashion Runway 2019

I had another spectacular night at Brisbane Fashion Runway at Saint John's Cathedral in Brisbane city tonight. The fashion show started around 6.30pm and guests were welcomed with a scrumptious grazing table. Platinum holders had the privilege to have unlimited drinks (although I stuck to my normal drinking routine and had water instead lol!). The first section of the runway included designers including Srgt Yass Queen, Monique Watters, Mayaki Swimwear, Jodie Lea Studio. After the first section, there was a 30min interval. The second part of the fashion show included designers: Megan Cannings, Purgatory, Saka Label, and Moreno Marcos. Below are my favourite looks from each designer mentioned in the first and second part of the show, as well as my favourite social photos from the night.
