INTERVIEW with Lindsay Linay || Island Haus Runway 2026 Runway Model
SD: Hi, Lindsay. For my readers who don’t know you yet, can you please introduce yourself?
LL: Hi, I’m Lindsay. I’m a 25 year old Flight Attendant and model based in Brisbane, Australia. I’ve been very lucky to have had many opportunities between both fields to work around the world. Most recently Miami, USA for Miami Swim Week.
SD: Describe your personal style of clothing?
LL: I’m usually drawn to figure-flattering pieces that emphasise my silhouette without looking overly complicated. Fitted dresses, tailored pieces, elegant basics, sleek evening looks and elevated casual wear.
When did you know you wanted to be a model?
LL: I first started modelling when I was around 11 years old in New Zealand. I continued until I was 13, when I moved to Australia and stepped away from it. But modelling always stayed in the back of my mind, and as I got older, I knew I wanted to come back to it.
SD: If you could talk to your ten-year-old self, what would you say?
LL: I’d tell her not to be so hard on herself. To trust that everything will work out, even when life doesn’t go exactly how she imagined. I’d tell her to keep dreaming big, stay true to who she is, and never let anyone make her feel like she isn’t enough. Most importantly, I’d tell her that she’s going to become someone she can be proud of.
SD: What has been your most favourite photoshoot to date?
LL: Would have to be the ones provided (in this interview), they’re clean, feminine and the colour contrast is amazing.
SD: What are you most excited about for Island Haus Runway?
LL: I’m definitely most excited for representing my culture and meeting so many amazing Australasian & Pacific Island beauty’s doing the same. But also just seeing the amazing designers work.
