INTERVIEW with Maddy Jackson || Island Haus Runway 2026 Runway Model
SD: Hello, Maddy. For my readers who don't know you yet, can you please introduce yourself?
MJ: Hi, I'm Maddy Jackson. My passion for modeling began in my teenage years and has since grown into one of the most meaningful parts of my life. I have a background in dance, circus arts, acting and modeling, and performing has always played a central role in my journey. I have been fortunate to receive recognition both nationally and internationally, including being named Senior Everyday Model of the World 2022 at WCOPA.
SD: Describe your personal style of clothing?
MJ: My personal style is vibrant, beachy and colourful. Fashion is my niche, and I love expressing it in every way I can. When working on a shoot, I aim to bring a brand's vision to life while staying true to my own.
SD: When did you know you wanted to be a model?
MJ: My journey began when I attended a performing arts school as a child. I initially enrolled in classes to build confidence, without any particular ambition in mind. However, as I continued to perform, I came to appreciate how empowering the experience could be, and my passion for the arts developed from there. In time, modeling became a natural extension of that passion.
SD: If you could talk to your ten-year-old self, what would you say?
MJ: I would tell her never to give up, and that the only limits we face are the ones we place on ourselves. I would encourage her to keep persevering, as doing so would lead her to meet remarkable people along the way.
SD: What has been your most favourite photoshoot to date?
MJ: It is difficult to select just one, as I have been fortunate to work on many memorable projects. However, my shoot with Maevi Jewellery stands out as a particular favourite. The brand creates waterproof jewellery designed to withstand ocean conditions and is based on the Sunshine Coast, where I am from, which made the experience especially meaningful. @maevi.jewellery
SD: What are you most excited about for Island Haus Runway?
MJ: I am most looking forward to the overall experience, connecting with new people, continuing to learn, and having the opportunity to present and express such beautiful pieces on the runway.
