To the doctor who implied I was lazy and told me I was just sitting on the pension:

You won’t believe on how far I’ve come.

A damn long, long way - I tell you that.

It was your comment that gave me drive to get off the pension.

And not to just prove you wrong, but prove to myself that I can be of someone useful in the community.

Be someone who had purpose.

Be someone who would inspire.

Be someone who showed that hard work can come from someone like me who is disabled for life.

I want to thank YOU for making me angry.

Your judgmental comment changed my life.

Partly, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be where I am now.

I am no longer on the pension.

I am working full-time and work hard for the money I earn.

Too bad I won’t be seeing you again.

You won’t believe what the person I have become.

Thank you again, Doc.

Regards,
Suzanne
