To the person who told me I couldn’t enter beauty pageants because of my facial scar,

I am not impressed by your comment.

If anything, it has helped me turn another negative experience into a positive one.

I am not giving up on pageants because of your comment.

I love the scars I have, no matter where they are on the face or body.

I’m not here to please you.

I’m not here to believe every word you say about my face.

I am imperfectly perfect.

And I embrace for who I am.

I want to be a role model for young girls.

And those who have a mental illness like me.

Be someone who would inspire.

No matter how many scars you have on your face or body.

That you can go on in life and live your best life.

With or without Bipolar.

Thank you for making me angry.

Your judgmental comment has helped me turn a negative experience into a positive one.
